Why the line sits there
The car is one surface. The team is nineteen of them — suits, helmets,
headsets, trainers, garage panels — each with its own UV map, its own
texture format and its own place in the game's archives. Getting them to
export as a single installable mod is most of the work in this project,
and it is the part that costs money to keep running.
So the split is not "free users get less car". It is: paint your car for
nothing, and pay only if you want the rest of the paddock to match it.
The awkward questions
Can I design the team without paying?
No — the team surfaces open on Works Driver only. The car does not:
painting, previewing and exporting the 2025 and 2026 MyTeam cars at 4K
needs no account and no payment, ever. The line is between one car and
nineteen team surfaces, not between trying and buying.
What happens to my liveries if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Your cloud projects stay, your published designs stay,
and every mod you already exported keeps working — it is a file on your
computer and it does not check in with us. You return to your account's
Free cloud allowance — one slot for accounts created on or after 26 August
2026, or the original three for earlier accounts — and car-only export.
Is the 4K export really not gated?
Really. Capping resolution would ruin the free tool to sell the paid one,
and a low-resolution livery is not worth making. Both plans export the
same texture quality.
Do I need anything else to use the mods?
Yes, and both are free and made by other people: the
SERPs Base Files and the Simplified Launcher by Team
Simplified. RaceLivery produces the livery; they put it into the game.
The install guide walks through it.
Am I buying the sponsor logos?
No. The subscription pays for the editor, the export pipeline and the
cloud storage. Brand marks belong to their owners and are there for
making fictional liveries for your own game — not for resale, merchandise
or advertising. The terms spell this out.
