Installation guide
Install a livery in F1 25
This is the installation flow tested with a 2026 MyTeam livery exported from RaceLivery Studio.
Download the required tools
RaceLivery generates the mod ZIP. These two separate Team Simplified downloads install it into F1 25. OverTake may require a free account before showing its download button.
Download both from the pages above. RaceLivery does not mirror or bundle either file, so those pages remain the source for current versions and updates.
Export from the editor
- Save an editable copy. Click Save Project before closing or refreshing the editor. This downloads your project JSON.
- Build the mod. For the car alone, click Export Mod ZIP. If you edited suits, pit crew, race crew or garage surfaces, click Export Full Team ZIP. It contains the car plus only the Team Experience modules you changed.
- Do not extract the ZIP. The complete archive is the mod Simplified Launcher expects.
Install with Simplified Launcher
- Move the downloaded ZIP into the Simplified Launcher
modsfolder. - Open the Launcher and press Refresh.
- Select SERPs Base Files for F1 25 and the new RaceLivery mod. The same step works for both car-only and full-team ZIPs. Deselect older mods that replace the same MyTeam car or team resources.
- Open Edit Teams with the square pencil button. Change team details if needed, then use the bottom-right package/launch action.
- After the game starts, open the matching custom MyTeam livery and inspect it under more than one lighting condition.
If something looks wrong
The lower floor or small aero parts use the wrong colour
They use the separate Aero material. These parts are not logo-placeable body UV areas, so set their global colour and finish with the Aero controls.
White chrome appears black
Chrome reflects the game environment and can look dark. Use Gloss or Shiny for a consistently white surface.
The previous design still appears
Keep only one generated MyTeam livery selected alongside SERPs Base Files, press Refresh and package again.
The Launcher reports an invalid location
Move the entire extracted Launcher folder out of Downloads—for example to C:\Simplified Launcher—then reopen it.
Project file or mod ZIP?
- Project JSON: reopen it in RaceLivery with Open Project to continue editing.
- Mod ZIP: place it in Simplified Launcher without extracting it.
